For 13 days from Friday August 2nd to Wednesday August 14th, 2019., the “7th Kotori no Art Festa in Yokohama,”」 one of the domestically largest events for exploring and experiencing the world of little birds, was held at the event hall on the 7th floor of Keikyu Kami-ooka Station. Our company cooperated by exhibiting “VR bird watching,” an indoor bird watching device, and “Hug Egg with Forest Notes,” which allows participants to experience the feeling of a bird by hugging an egg. As it was held during summer holidays, as many as approximately 7,000 visitors came to the event within 13 days. Those visitors, from children to adults, enjoyed experiencing the world of little birds.
Simulated experience of bird watching by using special telescope for VR bird watching
At the “VR bird watching” activity corner, visitors enjoyed a realistic bird watching experience by using a special VR bird watching telescope “Forest Notes Scope VR,” which simulates indoor bird watching, and a lightweight scope type, “Forest Notes Scope VR Mini,” which can be handled with one hand. Both products were developed based on our wish to create an opportunity to develop a caring mind for nature.
*“Forest Notes Scope VR/VR Mini” are displayed at various events and exhibitions in order to offer people an opportunity to re-acknowledge connection with nature.
Into the world of birds by collaboration of sounds and light
At the “Hug Egg with Forest Notes” activity corner, our company collaborated with penotea, which produces Hug Egg, and offered audio archives from “Forest Notes,” which is our free live streaming service to distribute forest sounds from across Japan. Visitors experienced sounds of forests where birds live while hugging an egg to imagine how a bird feels.
